Life interferes with blogging
Posts here have been less frequent the past few days, and will likely continue so through the weekend. A concentration of time-consuming volunteer projects has kept me out of the house doing things like preparing non-profit mailings, helping to organize the opening of our new neighborhood park, researching then writing and delivering the Neighborhood Association’s position on a subdivision application, and assisting with Freshman Registration at Wilson High School. This morning it’s Community Care Day doing the schools spruce-up in the morning, then I have an assignment to complete for the Yes on 49 campaign that will likely take a good chunk of my time over the weekend. Anyone willing to spend even one hour helping to pass Measure 49’s reforms to Measure 37, by talking with your own neighbors, please e-mail me.
A quick glance at the City Council agenda for August 29 makes me eager to get Next Up at City Council prepared and posted, but first Ali and I have back-to-school shopping to do. The backyard blackberries are ready to be harvested and prepared into the winter’s supply of jelly. And Steve leaves for Burning Man on Sunday evening.
It’s not necessarily a bad thing to have so much to do that there isn’t time to prepare blog posts…. except if you were hoping to read said blog posts. But perhaps many of you have more to do away from your computers as summer draws to an end and September approaches, too. It’s all good.
