Almost missed an opportunity to praise an editorial

Lest you think I only post about Oregonian editorials when I’m steamed, please be sure to read this one supporting requiring insurance policies that cover medications to include contraceptives. Pretty much spot on. The only addition I would have liked to have seen is asking what the heck took the Legislature so long to get around to doing this, and why on earth there has to be a law to require something that seems to be cost-effective common sense and simple fairness.

Kudos too to Susan Nielsen, who wrote a powerful, sensible column on the issue on Sunday, March 4.
