Happy feet

The movie features Emperor penguins. This is a Humboldt, described in this nice page on the Oregon Zoo’s site. When we were members of the zoo, I took the children at least once a month during the winter. The Penguinarium was one of our favorite places. Warm and dry when it’s cold and rainy outside, and we discovered some of the penguins would follow a child’s brightly-colored mitten when waved back and forth by the window. The interactive Antarctica exhibit and learning center was fun, too.
