Sit-lie ordinance postponed

The Council’s hearing on the proposed ordinance prohibiting sitting or lying on downtown sidewalks was held over until next week, “to allow additional testimony” according to the Mayor. I can’t find a link on his website. Here’s the discussion on mine, and here, here, and here are some of the many good articles in the Portland Mercury about it. Still no word on funding and timing of the companion measures to provide legal places to sit/lie – please post in the comments if you know of plans for the other half of the deal.
