Good news for the Inverness Jail
KGW posted a report yesterday evening, noting the state inspection team found the Inverness Jail in compliance with 402 of 403 standards. The one they missed was on adequate annual training. We have periodic inspections at OHSU, so I understand how challenging documentation of performance can be. I also recognize that not everything desirable or good in a public service facility can be reduced to documented standards – kindness, effectiveness, accessibility to relatives, to name just three. Still, passing a state inspection with flying colors is definitely better than not passing it. Congratulations to the staff at the jail.
