Leaving on a Jet Plane
I’m taking off today, flying to Blighty to spend a week with my family for my father’s 80th birthday on Sunday. A short hop up to Vancouver B.C., then a long overnight flight on Air Canada to Heathrow. I don’t like flying at all, but after 9/11 I realized life is too short to let something like that get in the way of spending time with people I love.
I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to check the blog from over the pond, so I have a bunch of posts lined up on the automatic scheduler every day. They’ll share information that I’ve been accumulating, and haven’t had the opportunity to give you while other current events took precedence. There are some great Guest Posts, and many tips I hope you’ll find useful. Plus the usual daily picker-upper of Steve’s photographs, of course. I hope to be able to chime in, Live at Leeds, at times. In the meantime, my son Luke is monitoring the site for me, particularly in case I made html errors in my prepared posts that turn the entire blog italic or something, despite my hard work getting them all set up for your ongoing entertainment. Please email Luke if you notice any problem requiring attention. I’ll be back next Tuesday evening, if all goes well.
