Press release from Central Northeast Neighbors:

“The October land use hearings for the “Big Box” proposal at NE 82nd & Siskiyou, across from Madison High School is cancelled. SmartCentres has withdrawn their conditional use application for developing the site. The permit would have expanded the current zoning from 60,000 sq ft to 240,000 sq ft.

Neighborhood leaders will now begin the process of visioning for a sustainable future! This includes a collaborative effort between the landowner/developer, the neighborhoods and the community.”
