My friend Susan Landauer, super-volunteer in the Portsmouth neighborhood, steered me to the web site of the Little Red Bike Cafe on North Lombard. She says the owners give a discount of 50 cents off if you bike to their store, and that their grand opening was a benefit for a local charity. Even if you’re never going to be in the area, check out their blog. Then I’m guessing you may want to make a special trip.
